Audit Committee (6:30)

The Audit Committee met on January 27th and February 14th to review information and bids from three auditors   

Building Committee (6:30) (Bev) 

The building committee met on February 16th to discuss next steps in the building process. Please read   the     ATTACHED REPORT. The next meeting of the building committee is on Wednesday, March 16th. 

Development Committee Report (6:35) (Alexis + Charles)

The Development Committee met on February 22nd to discuss maximizing results for upcoming fundraising campaigns. The Great Give is approaching in May – and the Board is currently $5000 towards raising the $20,000 necessary to unlock the Ashley Timmer Match. What does that mean? We’ll need 100% Board participation in the Great Give. Audrey will be creating Great Give profiles for every board member and the board will be hosting an in-person cocktail hour during the Great Give to gather prospect supporters and increase giving. The Development Committee will share a short presentation on the Great Give and we will take a vote on which day/time to host the cocktail hour.

Finance Committee Report (6:50) (Beth)

The Finance committee met on February 23rd to review budget vs. actuals with projections as of January 31, 2022.  We discussed the current deficit, the efforts being made to rectify the deficit and the variables that create the greatest risk to our staying on budget this year.  The Finance Committee will meet again on March 17th at 5 pm. Governance Committee Report (6:50) (Bob)

The Governance Committee met on February 22, 2022. The conversation centered on prospective new board members. There was also a discussion concerning our culture as a board in a new era of working with unionized staff and the training that might help us moving forward. The next regular meeting of the committee is March 15, 2022. Questions can be directed to bob.parker@nhep.com

School Committee Report (6:55) (Monica)

The School Committee agreed by email to put forth this REVISED CALENDAR for SY 21-22 to account for covid-19 and weather-related cancellations.

In order to comply with adjusted Connecticut Open Meeting laws, any member of the public wishing to participate in the meeting must sign up on the Public Participation Sign-up Document. Sign-ups for Public Participation will open at 5 pm on the last business day before the meeting (Friday, February 25th) and will close at 5:00 pm on the day of the meeting (Monday, February 28th). Public Participation is limited to 2 minutes per person up to 30 total minutes. Anyone wishing to make a statement to the board can also submit testimony in writing to Bob.Parker@nhep.com  by 5:30 pm on the day of the meeting. All submitted documents will be included in the publicly shared meeting minutes.
