Audit Committee (6:30)

The audit committee did not meet in November pending the completion of the FY 21 audit

Building Committee (6:30) (Gioia)

The building committee did not meet in November. The building committee asks the board to approve the Svigals + Partners Architecture & Engineering Design Services Proposal in its entirety with the caveat that should the surveying reveal the land as not being conducive to building construction CG will not move forward with the design phases and Svigals will not hold CG liable. At this time, we are also asking the board to approve the initial expense of $11,000 to cover surveying, zoning/code/city plan review and visioning workshop.

Development Committee Report (6:35)

The Development Committee met on November 16th and discussed the annual appeal campaign and ongoing board member engagement opportunities. The next meeting is on December 14th at 5:30 pm. Anyone interested in attending the meeting should contact Charlie Negaro.

Development Committee Board Shoutouts!

Finance Committee Report (6:45) (Peter)

The Finance Committee met on November 15th, to review budget vs actuals and cash on hand. The Finance committee will meet again on December 20th. Please contact Treasurer, Beth Klingherwith any questions. 

Governance Committee Report (6:50) (Bob)

The Governance Committee met on November 16th and discussed Board officer terms. Having received no comments or suggestions from board members after a first read, the committee decided to send out the proposed changes to our bylaws for a final vote at the November meeting. Next meeting is scheduled for December 14th (one week early due to holidays).

School Committee Report (6:55) (Monica)

The School Committee met on November 18, 2021 to discuss upcoming policy changes related to CT paid leave and proposed policies for the high school. The next meeting will be on December 9th at 4pm Please contact Monica Maccera Filppu with any questions.

Public Comment: 

In order to comply with adjusted Connecticut Open Meeting laws, any member of the public wishing to participate in the meeting must sign up on the Public Participation Sign-up Document. Sign-ups for Public Participation will open at 5 pm on the last business day before the meeting (Friday, September 24th) and will close at 5:00 pm on the day of the meeting (Monday, September 27th). Public Participation is limited to 2 minutes per person up to 30 total minutes. Anyone wishing to make a statement to the board can also submit testimony in writing to Bob.Parker@nhep.com  by 5:30 pm on the day of the meeting. All submitted documents will be included in the publicly shared meeting minutes.
