Remembering Christopher Franco, Supporting His Family

On July 26, 2019 Common Ground graduate Christopher Franco was hit and killed while riding a motor scooter. Christopher was a beloved member of the school community, and this is a heartbreaking loss. Chris was a caring, funny, thoughtful young man who had a whole story and life worth remembering. We loved him and healing for Chris’s family and for all of our Common Ground family will take time and lots of love.

Chris’ family has been at Common Ground since 2010, when Chris’ brother, Carlos, entered as a 9th grader. To lose a vibrant young man is beyond comprehension and we are all still in shock. In order to ease the financial burden for Chris’ family, donations (minus Paypal fees) received through this link through September 12th, will be sent directly to the family. We will update you in the next newsletter. If you are not able to donate, you can still leave messages to celebrate the life of this loving young man.

I feel very bad for him and want to give his family my support and condolences. I feel bad that I couldn’t go to his funeral because I was in the hospital on suicide watch because my boyfriend broke up with me.
