New Haven Register: CT Commissioner to students be “environmental entrepreneurs”

NEW HAVEN — Recycling and switching to fluorescent light bulbs are good first steps toward a sustainable future

But students at the city’s only environmental-themed charter high school were encouraged Monday to answer to a higher “green” calling.

State Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Daniel Esty spoke to a class of students at Common Ground High School and encouraged them to pursue careers as environmental entrepreneurs.

“If you really want to make the environment better, one way is to help people find ways to lead their lives in a more sustainable manner,” he said.
