Miriam is currently the Students Affairs Assistant at Common Ground High School. She has been here since 1999. Miriam has also worked as a Pre-School Teacher and with the Kinder Care Learning Center. Miriam presented Anti Bullying and Self Esteem programs in 2006-2014 at Hamden Middle School in Hamden, CT. She served as a life coach for students by providing daily assistance to students and implements school discipline measures when needed. Miriam has a Bachelor of Science in Child Development.

As a Schoolnami Advisory Board Member and Consultant, Miriam has a can do attitude and her Motto is “If I Can Help.” Her ultimate goal is to help youth and adults become positive contributors to society. Miriam worked as a youth outreach worker from 1999-2008. She was the director of teen services at The Dixwell Community House, Inc. in New Haven, CT. During that time she supervised 12 Outreach staff members supporting community At-Risk Youth. Miriam oversaw all youth functions including Street Scenes, Teen Center and implemented the Youth Helping Youth program.
