Common Ground Board of Directors Meeting Minutes: Special Meeting Oct. 2, 2023

Present: Alexis Smith, Shelly Hicks, Lizanne Cox, Bob parker, Monica Maccera Filppu, Jennifer Burke, Carly Osbourne, Gioia Connell, Jeff Carter, Monique Frasier, Terri Snell, Alisha Crutchfield, Kyeen Andersson

Welcome 

Alexis called the meeting to order at 5:34pm

Public Comment: N/A

Executive Session (5:34)

Shelly moved to enter into executive session, Bob seconded the motion. The movement to enter into executive session was approved unanimously. 

Executive Session pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. § 1-200(6)(B) and 1-201(B) 9 & 10 Regarding

Records, Reports and Statements of Strategy or Negotiations with respect to the Collective

Bargaining and Records of Communications Privilege by the Attorney Client Privilege or

Relationship.

No votes were taken in Executive Session

 Discussion and Possible Action resulting from Executive Session (6:29)

Bob moved to approve the collective bargaining agreement between Common Ground and The UAW, Kyeen seconded the motion to approve this agreement. The movement to approve the collective bargaining agreement was approved unanimously.

Adjourn (6:32)

Shelly moved to adjourn the Board of Directors Meeting, Liz seconded the motion to adjourn. The movement to adjourn was approved unanimously. 

 The meeting adjourned at 6:32pm. 

Next Meeting: October 30th (in person)

Public Comment: 

In order to comply with Connecticut Open Meeting laws, any member of the public wishing to participate in the meeting must sign up on the Public Participation Sign-up Document. Sign-ups for Public Participation will open at 5 pm on the last business day before the meeting (Friday, September 29th ) and will close at 5:00 pm on the day of the meeting (Monday, October 2) Public Participation is limited to 2 minutes per person up to 30 total minutes. Anyone wishing to make a statement to the board can also submit testimony in writing to Alexis.Smith@nhep.com  by 5:00 pm on the day of the meeting. All submitted documents will be included in the publicly shared meeting minutes.
