Common Ground Students … By The Numbers  
  • With just 155 students, every Common Ground student is pushed to excel. 
  • Our students come from more than a dozen different middle schools in 14 different towns and cities – creating a genuinely diverse student body.
  • While some of our students enter below grade level in math and reading, more than 90% are accepted to college upon graduation. 

 

 Common Ground Teachers … By The Numbers 
  • Common Ground has 13 full-time teachers, all certified, yielding a student to teacher ratio of 12:1. 
  • The average Common Ground teacher has six years of teaching experience, and has been at Common Ground for 4 years.   
  • This year, there was 0% turnover in Common Ground's faculty.  Last year, only one teacher left Common Ground's faculty. 
  • Every teacher acts as an advisor for a group of 10-15 students, providing both academic guidance and help with college readiness.  
  • Common Ground teachers have received the Raytheon MathMovesU Award and the ING Unsung Heroes Award, and have participated in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program and the Fulbright Japan Education for Sustainable Development program.
